Time bands under § 5
- 5–12 hours: 9.3 €
- over 12 up to 18 hours: 13.8 €
- over 18 hours: 20.6 €
On a trip shorter than 5 hours per diem usually doesn't apply, but the employer may grant it at their discretion (§ 5(3)) if the employee demonstrably incurred higher meal costs.
