How mileage is calculated
- Base allowance: distance (km) × rate per km (0.313 € for a car, 0.09 € for a motorcycle); the rate is indexed periodically by the Ministry of Labour.
- Trailer: the base allowance increases by 15% (§ 7(2)).
- Fuel allowance: (distance / 100) × consumption per the registration certificate × fuel price. The price is either the actual one (from a receipt) or, if no receipt exists, the average price published by the Slovak Statistical Office valid on the day the trip started (§ 7(4)).
- Rounding up: unlike per diem, both amounts (base allowance and fuel) are rounded up to the nearest eurocent.

Mileage is most often combined with domestic per diem on a domestic trip. Sole traders and company directors with several trips a month can also use a batch travel order.
